Our purpose

Fix the problem.
Don't take the person.

Most software solves your problem and charges you in data. We think that trade was never necessary — and we build to prove it.

The trade nobody agreed to

Somewhere along the way, useful software started arriving with a condition. To track your tasks, upload them. To store your passwords, trust our cloud. To get an answer from a model, send it your documents. The problem gets solved, and something of yours moves somewhere you cannot see, governed by terms you did not write, reachable by authorities you have never heard of.

For a large enterprise, that is a compliance question with lawyers attached. For an ordinary person, it is simply the price of using a computer — paid without negotiation, usually without knowing.

We are here to resolve your problem, not to become another one you have to manage.

That is the whole idea. If a tool runs entirely on your device, there is no upload, no account, no breach that can include you, and nothing to be subpoenaed. The problem still gets fixed. The trade just doesn't happen.

Two kinds of people we build for

They need different things, and being clear about which is which keeps us honest with both.

This funds the work

Organisations

Operators, banks, government bodies and delivery teams with governance problems — programmes slipping, automation stalled, regulators asking where the data sits.

  • They pay for judgement: assessments, advisory, delivery leadership
  • They get tools that hold their data inside their own perimeter
  • Their fees are what make the rest possible
This is why we bother

Everyone else

A parent tracking insurance renewals. A student keeping certificates safe. A shopkeeper with passwords on a scrap of paper. Anyone who needs something to work without being watched.

  • They pay nothing, ever, and create no account
  • Their data never leaves the device they are holding
  • They owe us nothing and can walk away in a second

The enterprise work is the business. The free tools are the point. We are not confused about which is which, and we will not quietly convert the second into the first once enough people depend on it.

How this is supposed to reach people

We would like these tools in the hands of anyone on earth who needs them. That is a real aspiration and we will say so plainly — but an aspiration is not a plan, and we are not going to publish a number of people we intend to reach as though it were a forecast.

What we can state is the mechanism, and why it might work:

01

No barrier to entry

Every tool opens in any browser with no account, no install, no payment and no email address. Nothing stands between a person and the thing working.

02

It works where the connection doesn't

Once the page has loaded, it runs offline. That matters more in most of the world than it does in Bangalore or Berlin.

03

Nothing to lose by trying

No data is collected, so trying a tool costs a person nothing — not even the usual price of being profiled for having looked.

04

Usefulness is the only distribution we have

We have no advertising budget and no growth team. If these tools spread, it will be because someone found one genuinely useful and told another person. That is slow, and it is the only honest route available to us.

Honesty as the operating condition

A tool that runs on your device but lies about what it does is worse than one that is openly a cloud service. So the architecture only means something alongside the discipline: every claim we publish can be checked, unfinished work is labelled unfinished, and no number appears that we cannot evidence.

That discipline costs us deals. A shorter capability list loses to a longer brochure more often than not. We keep it because the moment we start rounding claims upward, the sovereignty promise becomes just another sentence in a document — and there is no way for anyone to verify it from outside.

Harmony isn't a slogan on a wall. It is what happens when the tool does what it says, takes nothing you didn't offer, and lets you leave.

What we cannot promise

Because a purpose page is exactly where organisations tend to start overclaiming.

We cannot recover your data. It lives on your device and nowhere else. If you clear your browser or lose the device without an export, it is gone — and we would rather say that than hold a copy so we could rescue you.

We cannot guarantee compliance. Architecture reduces exposure; your counsel confirms your obligations. Nothing here is legal advice.

We are small. GVS is founder-led, with no support desk and no bench. The tools are offered as-is, without warranty. That is the honest condition attached to their being free.

We are not yet widely known. Very few people have heard of GVS today. Stating the ambition is not the same as having achieved it, and we will not present the first as if it were the second.

Start anywhere

Nothing to sign. Nothing to install. Nothing collected.

If one of these tools solves something for you today, that is the entire purpose working as intended. If it also helps someone you pass it to, better still.
